Keith has been a Naki boy his whole life. He grew up on the farm in South Taranaki before moving north to New Plymouth, where he attended secondary school at Francis Douglas Memorial College. Following School in 2004, he opted to go down the Surveying path which led him to Otago University where he successfully attended his Bachelor of Surveying Degree when graduating in 2008.
Immediately following Otago, he returned to New Plymouth to start his career. It was here that Keith learnt the core roles of what it took to be good surveyor. He gained a broad range of surveying skills from land subdivision work, engineering and construction surveying, construction surveying, close liaison with developers, engineers, planners, contractors, architects, government agencies to flying unmanned aerial vehicles and many more surveying techniques.
In 2012 Keith completed the Professional entrance examination in 2012 gaining a certificate in competency in Cadastral Surveying, Non-Cadastral Surveying, Land Development Engineering, Planning, Design and Resource Management and Geodetic Surveying. He was then eligible to become Licensed to undertake Cadastral Surveys under the Cadastral Surveyors Licensing Board of New Zealand 2013 and then a Full member of New Zealand Institute of Surveyors 2013.
In 2014 Keith decided it was time to experience work overseas and choose to take a job on Manus Island, Papua New Guinea on a large construction site. He became the Senior Site Survey Manager on the multimillion dollar project and was involved with the close liaison, communication and preplanning with site supervisors for client satisfaction. On completion of the project in 2015 Keith chose to return home and continue his career at BTW Company.
