This month we say thank you and bid farewell to a remarkable leader, Phil Dickey, who has been an integral part of BTW’s journey for an incredible 41 years.
Since 10 September 1982, Phil has dedicated himself to the growth and success of our company, and leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, integrity, and diligence.
He has not only helped shape the direction of BTW but has also been a mentor and an inspiration to many of us.
Throughout his four decades with BTW, Phil has been involved in numerous key projects, and has developed and nurtured strong relationships across sectors and regions. Of particular note was Phil’s considerable involvement in NZ’s seismic surveying industry through the 80’s and 90’s, and the establishment of Rimu and Kupe Production Stations in the early 2000’s (consenting and environment, stakeholder engagement, surveying, and project management).
Just this month, Phil shared with us that seeing BTW’s growth from a small surveying company to a larger multidisciplinary team working across a broad range of projects has been a highlight. He speaks of the team of people who have come to work at BTW over his tenure with the firm – describing the camaraderie and way in which teams work together to get best solutions as remarkable. He’s confident and excited with the strategic direction and vision new leaders have as he steps away from the Board.
We know that many of our clients, consultant network and community contacts will join us in thanking Phil for his energy and expertise, and wishing him the very best in retirement. Phil’s knowledge, experience, and passion for BTW has been instrumental in making us the company we are today.
As BTW bids farewell to Phil Dickey, we also celebrate the appointment of a new Director to our Board.
Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, Keith Preston, was unanimously voted by his fellow Shareholders to fill the vacant Director position left as Phil steps out of the business.
Keith is a dedicated and passionate leader at BTW, serving as leader of our Geospatial and Energy teams. With unwavering commitment, he brings his wealth of experience to the forefront and offering comprehensive guidance for numerous clients, while actively contributing to a diverse array of projects. We have confidence in Keith to help guide BTW into the future, and we look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on our journey.
